Launch of Worcester Apprenticeship Grant Scheme
The aim of the Worcester Apprenticeship Grant Scheme is to assist businesses locally to employ residents through apprenticeship programmes.
The aim of the Worcester Apprenticeship Grant Scheme is to assist businesses locally to employ residents through apprenticeship
£25,000 is available in the 2017/18 financial year.
A salary contribution grant of £1,000 is available per apprentice, with a maximum of two grants available for each company.
The scheme is open to businesses based within the Worcester City postcode area that employ fewer than 250 employees.
The scheme will prioritise applications from companies operating in one or more of the following key sectors:
- Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering.
- Cyber Security/IT/Defence.
- Visitor and Destination Economy.
Knowledge based sectors including advertising and marketing, consultancy and legal and financial services will be considered.
The Apprentice should be based in the Worcester City postcode area and be aged 16 – 24 years.
Applications for assistance can be made at any time. The scheme will be run on a first come, first served basis.
