The Scottish EDGE Tenth Application Round Now Open
Through the Scottish EDGE Competition, applicants with the strongest growth plans will be invited to present their ideas in a Dragons' Den style pitch to a combination of business and public sector representatives.
The pitches which demonstrate the most potential will then be invited to go on to present their idea before a select panel. Scottish EDGE consists of four competition categories: Scottish EDGE, Young EDGE, Wild Card EDGE and Higgs EDGE.
Applicants with high-growth, innovative businesses have the opportunity to win up to £100,000 plus benefits. These benefits will include mentoring and support from mature entrepreneurs, enrolment into the EDGE Alumni programme and a support package from leading business organisations. Funding should be put towards business growth and development.
The competition is open to entrepreneurs operating new small businesses that have growth potential and ambition. The applicant's business must have the potential to attract future private investment to facilitate continuing growth (beyond any support from this competition). The business should also have a wider than local market and must be able to demonstrate export potential.
The next deadline for this scheme is 8 March 2017, before 2pm.
