Launch of Leeds City Region Digital Enterprise Programme
The Leeds City Region Digital Enterprise Programme has now launched.
The aim of the Leeds City Region Digital Enterprise Programme is to support small to medium-sized firms to achieve digital maturity by both helping them invest in digital solutions and achieve higher levels of awareness and understanding of how digital technologies can help them grow and develop.
The two key components of the Programme are:
- Vouchers ranging from £1,000 to £5,000 covering up to 40% of project costs.
- A programme of workshops, masterclasses and mentoring support to managers/owners, delivered at venues across the Leeds city region on a range of topics, focused on digital technology eg social media, cyber security, digital marketing and web development etc. This strand of the programme will be available from spring 2017.
The Digital Enterprise Programme is open to support SMEs in the Leeds City Region. To receive voucher funding businesses must be trading businesses – with at least six months trading history. A proportion of funding will be targeted at young businesses that have been trading for between one and three years.
Firms applying for the funding must be based within the Leeds city region ie have their headquarters or main operation centre within one of the following local authority districts: Bradford; Calderdale; Craven; Harrogate; Kirklees; Leeds; Selby; Wakefield; York.
Digital growth vouchers are intended for the acquisition of IT hardware, software purchases or upgrades to digital connectivity. Funding can only be used for the purchasing of equipment or software and not for the on-going revenue costs of leasing them.
Applicants should contact the provider direct to discuss any deadlines that may apply.
