Notice of Upcoming Deadline for the Product and Process Innovation Capital Grants Scheme (PAPI)
The next Expressions of Interest Deadline for the Product and Process Innovation Capital Grants Scheme (PAPI) is 5 May 2017.
The aim of the Product and Process Innovation Capital Grants Scheme (PAPI) is to stimulate innovation through the provision of capital grants aimed at the development of new products and processes, improving productivity and economic growth and creating new jobs and businesses.
A grant of 40% of eligible capital costs is available on project spend between £20,000 and £50,000. This equates to a grant of between £8,000 and £20,000. Project spend can be over £50,000 but the grant will be capped at £20,000.
Assistance is available to small and medium-sized enterprises based in the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding region.
The project is focused on a number of key sectors:
- Food and Drink
- Manufacturing (using biological and chemical materials)
- Digital & Creative Media
- Health and Social Care
The capital equipment purchased through this scheme should enable an SME to develop new innovative products or processes. In particular funding will be used to purchase key pieces of pilot-scale production equipment that enables an SME to test proof of concept on a limited scale before committing to full scale industrial development.
The First 2017 Expressions of Interest deadline is 5 May 2017.
