WeWork Creator Awards Contest Boost Start-up Businesses - Summer Deadline Approaching

The WeWork Creator Awards Contest offers investment funding for UK entrepreneurs and desk space as part of a global funding pot to help small businesses.

The sponsor is encouraging entrepreneurs who are “making a difference in their communities” and “pursuing their passions” to apply for one of three accolades:

  • The Incubate: For those with an idea or a specific project that needs funding, but require support with introducing it to the world. Individual finalists are selected for Regional Finals, where work is displayed during the event and grants are awarded.
  • The Launch: For those who have introduced an idea to the world, but are still learning as they make it real. Businesses and organisations selected for Regional Finals will pitch before judges, competing for a grant and winners move on to the Global Finals in New York City.
  • The Scale: For those who have launched, learned, have a solid approach, and are ready for the next level. Businesses selected for Regional Finals will pitch before judges, competing for a grant where winners move on to the Global Finals in New York City.

All applicants will receive desk space for two days per month for a year, while finalists will be invited to London for a pitch event in September. Those who are successful will join the global finals in New York alongside applicants from across the globe, with winners receiving up to US $360,000 in funding.

The contest is open to entrepreneurs and start-up businesses from any sector in the UK.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 21 August 2017.

The London finals take place on 15 September 2017.
